The National Naval Aviation Museum will host its fourth annual Scout Saturday on 

September 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.  

This opportunity is limited to 45 Scouts ages 11 - 17.  

This event will meet all requirements for the Aviation Merit Badge.

Highlights:

Aerodynamics, Navigation, F-35 Flight Simulation, Careers Presentations, Foam Plate Glider Design and Construction, Museum Tour

Base Access: 

All Entries to NAS Pensacola by visitors who DO NOT HAVE a DoD ID must be made through the WEST GATE (Blue Angel Parkway) between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.

Non-DOD ID holders will not be allowed to enter the gate after p.m. If you are dropping your Scout off, you must be back aboard NAS Pensacola before 3 p.m. to retrieve them at the end of the day.

Lunch:

Please bring a sack lunch (with an unopened or secure drink) that does not require refrigeration. We will not provide lunch.

Schedule:

Check-in:  9:00 - 9:20 am at Small Theatre near Cubi Cafe. 

Check-out:  3:15 pm at Small Theatre near Cubi Cafe

Blue Card Signing:  3:15 - 3:45 pm at Small Theatre near Cubi Cafe

Non DoD ID holders must be aboard NAS Pensacola (WEST GATE/BLUE ANGEL) prior to 3 pm to pick up his/her Scout.

Blue Cards:

These will be signed from 3:15 to 3:45 pm. If you would like to receive your Aviation Merit Badge, please have your card ready to be signed by our merit badge counselors at the end of the day.

Other:  

IDs are required to board NAS Pensacola and to retrieve your Scout at the end of the day. 

All adults/chaperones must be on an authorized contact list for Scout to be released to your care.   

All Scouts and chaperones must exit the building by 4 pm.
