Homeschool Academy: The Museum Classroom
The Magic of Flight
We will be joined by the West Florida Homeschool Education Band and Strings for a special performance for this event!
Homeschool Academy: The Museum Classroom is a new program targeting the interests of homeschool families ages 5 to 18. The Magic of Flight will take place at the National Naval Aviation Museum on 28 September from 10:15 to noon in the Blue Angels Atrium. Check-in will begin at 9:30; pre-entertainment will begin at 9:45 am; and the event will start at 10:15 am.
The Magic of Flight will feature hands-on activities reinforcing the four forces of flight: lift, thrust, drag, and weight. The session will also include a specialized age-appropriate tour of the museum that will highlight the physics of flight.
- This event is $5.00 per child. This fee is nonrefundable.
- This event is limited to 60 participants aged 5 to 18.
- Registration opens at 9 am on 8 September.
- All participants ages 5 to 18 MUST BE REGISTERED for the event.
- Escorts, chaperones, and/or parents are NOT required to register.
- Anyone over 18 attending this event must have a valid state-issued ID or U.S. Passport to access NAS Pensacola.
Base Access:
All Entries to NAS Pensacola by visitors who DO NOT HAVE a DoD ID must be made through the WEST GATE (Blue Angel Parkway) between the hours of 9 am and 3 pm.

- No Shows
If your child does not attend an event for which he/she is registered, please notify us immediately so that others can be registered to attend. If you fail to notify us and your child is a no-show, your child will not be allowed to register for the next Homeschool Academy event.
- Registrations
Each child should be registered by his/her parent or guardian. All releases must be acknowledged by a legal parent or guardian only.
- Refunds
Registration for each Homeschool Academy session is $5 per child. This fee is nonrefundable.
- Groups
During these events, we divide children into two (or more) groups according to their ages. If you have two or more children in different groups that you do not want to be separated, the older child(ren) will need to join the younger group.
